Summary:
Conduct fitness assessments and SMART start consultations to
ensure member success and retention. Develops individualized wellness programs
that ensure client safety and the enhancement of personal fitness goals. Builds
a connection with members to help keep them actively engaged at the Y.
Requires:
1.) Physically being capable of assisting clients in their
fitness activities, including bending, pulling, stretching, straining,
kneeling, gripping and frequent lifting of weights.
2.) Must be a certified Personal trainer thru the American
College of Sports Medicine, National Sports and Conditioning Association, the
Aerobics and Fitness Association of America or other nationally recognized
certifying body or a Bachelorβs degree in Kinesiology, Physical Education or
Exercise Science.
3.) Must have CPR and AED certification or obtain upon hire.
4.) Previous experience working with a diverse population
preferred.
